Portland, Maine - 2024

In October 2024, after a stressful week at work, I decided on a last-minute trip. At 4pm on a Friday, I booked a flight to Boston and called my friend Erod to see if he was up for a road trip. By 7pm, I was on a plane. We spent time in New Hampshire where I got to see Erod’s hometown, and then decided to drive through the night to Portland, Maine. My mentor Jake had recommended I visit since he had just been, and we both share a love for Alaska. I woke up to stunning views of Maine’s beaches and spent the day exploring Portland, a small city with a lot of character, and eating lobster rolls. I quickly fell in love with Maine and could definitely see myself living there in the future.
