Fort Bragg, California - 2025

I had promised my uncle Michael that I would visit him and my other uncle Eric for the opening of their new restaurant, Huck’s Sliderhouse, in Fort Bragg. A work trip to the West Coast in March 2025 gave me the chance to make it happen, so I called Michael and told him I was on my way. I spent three days with my uncles, helping out at the counter, brushing off old customer service skills from my McDonald’s days, and catching up on life. The drive from San Francisco up the Pacific Highway reminded me how beautiful Northern California is, and how much charm there is in small-town living compared to the big city.
