Boston, Massachusetts - 2024

In January 2024, after a stressful week at work, I realized I had a three-day weekend for Martin Luther King Day and decided on a last-minute trip. I wanted to visit a new state within driving distance, and Boston came to mind—just eight hours away. At 7pm on Friday, I told my family I was heading out, and my brother Rick joined me on the spot. We drove through the night and met up with my friend Eric “Erod,” who lives in New Hampshire, and later connected with Xander, a friend from my Pokémon days studying at MIT. It was freezing, but Boston was an incredible city, and the trip gave Rick and Ia new spark to say yes to more travel opportunities.
