JenksTCG

JenksTCG was the final name of my first Pokémon YouTube channel.
It began as HardMapleCollections, then evolved into The Jenkins, then The Rubbish Trubbish, and finally JenksTCG. This channel reflected my journey from being a hobbyist to becoming one of the top Pokémon players.

From Pack Openings to Competitive Play

When I first got into the Pokémon Trading Card Game, my only goal was simple—buy cards at retail, open packs, and flip them for profit on eBay. But over time, my younger brother and I fell in love with the game itself, and that passion shifted everything.

At 14, I launched a YouTube channel, HardMapleCollections, focused on unboxings, pack openings, and Amiibo hunts. Not long after, the channel evolved into The Jenkins and then The Rubbish Trubbish, where I began showcasing deck profiles, sharing tournament results, and engaging with the Pokémon community. Back then, my videos never showed my face, and I was far from being a top player, but the process taught me how to create content, interact online, and build an audience.

By 2020, everything changed. I relaunched as JenksTCG—this time with credibility as one of the best Pokémon TCG players in North America. The channel thrived during the COVID online tournament era, featuring deck breakdowns, podcasts, Twitch livestreams, and more. For the first time, I was creating from a position of both experience and authority.

Ultimately, my interest in competitive play faded, and with it, the JenksTCG channel came to a close. But it wasn’t the end of my content journey—it was the transition point that made room for The Lab TCG to take off, blending my love of Pokémon with entrepreneurship and business building.
